This is my baby girl Julia!!! It's a whole new world for me now since this is my first child!! She is amazing and I am so excited to start this new life as a mother! It will definitely be an adjustment as a mom and a business owner but I am looking forward to seeing the world in a whole new way and capturing that vision in my work. I have been so grateful to have patient and considerate clients during this time. Being a photographer and being pregnant wasn't easy thats for sure!!! But SHE is worth it! I went to high school with my dear friend Lauren! So when she told me she was getting married I offered my services right away! It was in white plains New York on a not so sunny day but the rain held out and we got some amazing photos at an awesome castle up there. We did a lot of laughing between their 3 children in the wedding party and me being 8 months pregnant and shooting like a crazy woman!!! ENJOY!!!

This couple is so fun and funny!!! The first time I met Danielle and Dennis we talked at Starbucks for like an hour and a half!! I photographed their engagements earlier in the summer and we discussed the camouflage vest and tie for the groomsmen. It was definitely a fun topic to discuss!!! Then when I showed up at Danielle's home I saw her father wearing the tux with the camouflage and thought...Dennis won that one!!! Anyway this wedding party had me laughing all day!!! The greatest gift I have been given and I do NOT take it lightly is that I get to create amazing images and give them to the people I love!!! This is Gabe, whom I have photographed several times so far!!! It is the son of my VERY DEAR FRIEND!! I really do not see him often so when I do he has changed so much!!! This day he was full of smiles!!!! The light was perfect and there is something about autumn, the sky is just so amazing!! Can't wait to shoot their christmas pics!!! Lori and Ehren are very good friends of mine and when Lori approached me to do a maternity shoot I immediately had a vision!!! She emailed me some ideas and luckily it was exact to what I was imagining!! I scouted out many locations and we waited and waited and waited until she was showing enough for the shoot!!!! I took them to several locations and we trespassed just a little shhhhh..!! I was extra happy to photograph her like 5 days before her shower so I was able to rush some prints to have as gifts and we set them out at the shower it was such a nice touch and ALWAYS good for business!!! Anyway, I am SOOOO happy with the outcome the light was amazing that night, and can't wait to photograph little Claire or Finn :)

She got engaged over 4th of July weekend and I am ecstatic!!! She is a soul sister and I was so grateful to give her these AMAZING engagement images!!! I wanted to have these images up last week but life has been super crazy!! I made settlement last friday so now I am moving my personal and business life. Needless to say there is just not enough time in a day. OK so back to Cara and Tom!!! They were married in medford then we went off to a park on RT 38. I LOVED photographing them all day! I also was lucky enough to have an old friend assistant that I used to shoot for..had so much fun shooting with Chris all day!!! I love the way he works and his talent behind the camera is everything I want to be!!! Thank CHRIS!!! Cara was so great she wanted so many creative different photographs and hired me for that reason. This is their engagement shot from 2009. I love this couple they are lots of fun!!!! As you scroll down you will see why I chose to show you an engagement photo. Ironically the church they chose to get married in had a beautiful red door just like this one from rittenhouse square. Of course I had to make use of it!!! I get the chills seeing the comparison between their engagement shoot over a year ago and then the image of their wedding day. It just makes me love my job more and more.

They were married at the cutest church in Pitman NJ then off to Valleybrook to beat the rain!! Which we did! The light happened to be perfect before the rain!!

OK!! Last Sunday I photographed this family of four in their home space and it was so fun!!! They have 2 boys, sammy is the little one and Ray is the big brother!! We spent an hour together and I just followed them and captured them in their family environment. This is what I do best and what I LOVE BEST!!!! Little Ray gave me a run for my money but but as usual the photographer won!!!! The blocks I brought for him to play with REALLY paid off as you will see. Can't wait to get you guys outside this summer for some more fun together!! There were so many that I loved in this shoot but I wanted to choose just a few to display on my blog...it was tough

I had another GREAT night meeting newly engaged couples!! It is so fun to hear all their stories and discuss their plans for their wedding day. I am becoming quite addicted to going to these events. It is a great way to meet new potential clients and it is challenging for me to sell who I am and what I am about. In order to be successful in this business you not only have to be an artist but you have to get that "sales" cap out and sell yourself and your work. It is not an easy thing for me. Bridal Show at Mt. Laurel Double Tree

I was up at the Double Tree on Fellowship road in Mt. Laurel last night for a bridal show (first of the year) My best friend Jaime came along to sell me up and she did good!!!! Of course I forgot my camera!!!! I was so sad when I realized that I never put it in my bag because I wanted to post them! Yes even the photographer forgets the camera! A HUGE shout out to all the couples that stopped by and chatted with me inquiring about my work and what I am about. My best friend Jenn gave birth to this little guy just about a month ago. I was so excited to finally get over there yesterday and spend a couple hours photographing him. We hoped and prayed that while I was there with the camera on him that he would open up his eyes. It is such a rare occurrence but I did get a few that I was excited about!! Jenn was hoping for some images of little Gabe with the very first love of their life, Milo D. Dog. I think we pulled it off successfully!!

Glynnis and David Tied the Knot 10-10-09!!!

This couple did it up right!! It was a very intimate party of 14 people, at 608 Hughes St. (a beautiful mansion)in Cape May. This house was a photographer's dream. I first met this great couple in early summer of this year. Glynnis found me on google and I was so excited when I found out what they were planning for their wedding day. When I reached the destination on their wedding day I was so excited to see a beautiful setting for an intimate outdoor wedding. I immediately felt like one of the family. They treated me so well!!! Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your day and embracing me as one of your family. I had a blast and have rockin images to show for it!! Here are a few!!!

My best friend Kelly PURSUED me to do a TTD and when she showed up at my house in full makeup and hair I understood why. She was ready and willing to do whatever we asked (we weren't too hard on her-I hope) She looked amazing as you can see for yourself. She is a working makeup artist, so she had already had a certain vision and goal for this shoot- as did I. We shot for over 2 hours and were all exhausted at the end of the night. I am so happy to do this for my friend because I think that it must feel incredible to play an alter ego for a day. What should we name her? Anyway, I hope that I exceeded her expectations!!!! I photographed Braxton's mom and dad's wedding!! I was so grateful when they came to me to shoot his first birthday portraits! I was really excited because I had some ideas that I wanted to try out and tonight I got to do it!!! We went over to my uncle's winery Almathea Cellars tonight to follow Braxton around in the fields!! Becky, his mommy, and I broke a serious sweat following him around. It was a challenge to stop him from eating all the acorns!!! These are some of my favorites!!

Becky and Matt's wedding was a total blast! It actually was pretty hot that day but they were troopers out there! There was 12 girls and 7 guys in the wedding party so we had to get create with the images, but I think we pulled it off! Becky kept telling me that Matt was going to either pass out or just be so shy in front of my lense, but I never saw that!!!! You will see what I mean as you scroll down. I have to say I had a total blast in the city Sunday night photographing Kris and Jason. The area around Rittenhouse is a photographer's DREAM. We spent an hour wondering through and around the park and found awesome colors and shapes to use. I love the look of these photos simply because it tells me that love is found anywhere and at any time. So I hope you all enjoy! This fine couple just picked up their wedding album! It is so fulfilling to hand over such a beautiful work of art to a young married couple! Ellisa was so excited she sat down in my living room to look through it!!! Joey and Ellisa were such a great couple to work with, they gave me absolute creative license in all aspects of their package. I truly appreciate their trust and hold it in the highest regard! They were heading down to cape may for the day to enjoy their anniversary. It is such a gift to watch a newly married couple enjoying life. I am taking this journey and I am trying to figure out who I am. My photog friend Amber Johnson photographed some basic portraits for my bio page tonight. Something I have realized, looking at these images. It is OK to be me and nobody else. I have my story of how I got to where I am today. I am unique in my own mind and body. Nobody can take that away from me. That is so freeing. I am persevering to build a business alone and as a woman in a very competitive field. This is not an easy task. I am so grateful for my journey ahead. The unknown is out there for me to live out. It is my journey and nobody else's. What an awesome feeling. I will continue to have patience and let life happen the way it is supposed to. This may not make sense to anyone but me, that is quite ok!! Life is good baby! Happy Birthday Nance!

July 18th I was a guest at a wedding at my uncle's winery almathea cellars, in Atco, NJ. Little Lou, who is a huge part of the operation of the winery, got married and we were so grateful to be a apart of it! They are an adorable couple! The bride is so beautiful!! They drank from a special bottle of Chardonney Reserve (YUM) during the ceremony- how creative!!! Anyone who is interested in really really great wine PLEASE check out my uncle's winery on vineyard road. It is the best around!!

Little Joshua Johnson

Tonight I photographed little Josh. He just turned one and is running around like crazy!! I spent an hour chasing him with my camera and loving every minute of it! Thank you to mommy, grandmom and grandpop who helped slow him down every once in a while!! I actually photographed Josh's older brother little Will when he was less then a year old, who is about to turn 4 now!!!! I love photographing toddlers. It is so challenging and teaches me patience which is something I need as I continue to strive for excellence in my craft- No seriously!! Thank you to Billy and Maggie (Josh's parents) for thinking of me to photograph their 2 beautiful boys. I am so grateful.

Hello Hello...I am shooting a ton this week so I will have lots to upload. But I wanted to upload these fun images I came across while transfering just about everything on my hard drive to a portable hard drive. Happy Birthday Lauren! Today is my sister's 35th birthday so I had to give a shout out!! Well I was on a mini vacation in Wildwood Crest (we got home today) with my family and was so glad to take advantage of the beach!! I was so excited to photograph my niece and nephew!! It was so convenient because we stayed at a small motel (one of the few that are left!) on Farragut called the Saratoga. We have been staying there for a few years now and we love it. The crest is quiet and we are so close to the beach. We are going back in 4 weeks!! Ok so anyway, I only could take about 20 minutes (they had dinner and the boardwalk on their minds). I just do not get enough chances to photograph them together in a portrait style. It is always good practice for me. I love how real Bryce is for the camera and the seriousness of Hailee. Her direct eye contact with the lense. She exudes confidence and I love it! Oh and she is only 8!!!

The Korsakoff Family

My best friend Amy's father asked me to do a family portrait while they were going to be down in Ocean City NJ for the week. Mr. Korsakoff rented a beautiful house on wesley 2 blocks from the beach. Then he was so polite to insist that my husband and I stay over and be his guest at a family dinner after the shoot!! We planned to do the shoot sunday night at the end of central. It is such a nice area to take family photos. Between the dunes and the rocks there are so many areas for your special "kodak moment". Mike, Mr. Korsakoff, and myself got there somewhat early so I could look around and really set myself up for the best places to photograph (preparation is always key for me!) When we suddenly see the black clouds come rolling in!! Mr. Korsakoff calls his family and calmly lets them know to get moving. As we stood there and watched those ugly clouds get closer and closer and assume we will be rained out, the whole family comes running over the dunes with Amy's grandmother leading the pack. Yea Shirly!!! So a special SHOUT OUT to the Korsakoff family for allowing me to crash at their shorehouse, I wish I could have stayed longer!! Anyway, here is the results in the 20 minutes we had before the rain started!!!

Uncle Bert's Wedding!!!!

My hubby's uncle was married on Saturday in Cape May at the Physick Estate. It is so beautiful and full of history, I was so grateful to photograph as a guest! It was an intimate party with a very cool jazz band. I was so lucky to have such great weather for shooting. It was the perfect summer wedding!

Caryn and her mom were so great!! I met them last year at a bridal show I did at the Marriot in Philly. They came to my table a few times and were excited to see my work along with my prices. They recognized that my prices are extremely reasonable and I have a lot to offer to someone who is moved by my style of shooting!! I didn't meet Rick until they walked down the aisle out of the church!! But he was a trooper, because it was hot and sticky that day in philly and we trucked him all around to get the images I was hoping for. Good Morning Out There

I have to talk about a little project that I am doing with my good friend Amber from amberjphotography.com We have decided that I am going to trash the dress or ttd for all you groupies out there! Two days ago I went to David's Bridal in Deptford NJ and tried on dresses. Mind you I have been married 6 years and Amber is married also. I have to say that the women there were the nicest I could have ever hoped for. We felt so bad telling them why we were there and what we were planning to do with this dress so we didn't say anything at all. Jo took me right to the 99$ rack, which is what I asked for. So Amber and I looked through and picked about 5 or so dresses out. We went into the dressing room for me to try these dresses on. I could NOT believe what I was doing. We were hysterical laughing as I am trying the first dress on. Amber zipped me up and to my surprise it was a perfect fit!!!! It was almost the exact style I was looking for and the price made it the perfect dress!! We were in and out of there in like 25 minutes. It is fate for me to do this shoot!!!! We Goin Boston!

My hubby Michael surprised me for our 6th wedding anniversary and swept me off to Boston for the weekend. We had never been and mike is a HUGE Sam Adams fan. So of course we had to make our way to that side of the town to drink free beer. I highly suggest you check it out if you are ever in that area. There is no admission just a donation if you feel generous!!

This fine couple is getting married April 24, 2010. We had an awesome shoot in Rittenhouse Square the end of last month. To shoot in Rittenhouse is FREE by the way!!! For all you photographers out there that may actually read this. For anybody who shoots in Philly, all those permits suck!! Anyhoo- I had tons of fun capturing them in their true self. The area around Rittenhouse has tons of spots for a "kodak moment" so I could have photographed for hours but I didn't torture them too much. I think we were out and about for an hour or so. Thanks guys I can't wait to photograph your wedding next year!!! Peace and Love Babie~

A small winery with Huge taste

My uncle's winery, Almathea Cellars, is in Atco New Jersey. The wine is awesome, you will not believe that you are drinking New Jersey wine when you go there. The space is very quaint and unique. I actually love to shoot portaits and things there because of the feeling I get when I am there. I just wanted to get his name out there because it is such a small winery and because he cares more about quality then quatity you may never hear about him. Check it out all you wine drinkers!!!!

Who I am

I, Allison Gallagher, never thought in a million years I would be photographing weddings and liking it (um.., by the way, I am LOVING IT)!! When I was in art school (graduated from Art Institute of Philadelphia 2001) My teachers constantly told me that my strongpoint was capturing the individuality of a person when putting them in front of my lens, but I aspired to be a high-end product photographer in no other then NYC!! Well, one thing lead to another and life happened as it usually does and I found myself intrigued with shooting weddings in a certain style, a different style. The universe lead me to be an assitant for a guy (maybe one day I will tell his name on here, I think he would hate it!) He is an AWESOME photographer and helped me develop a fun, crazy, way outside the box approach to wedding photography and I will be forever grateful for his patience for my unnerving fear and sometimes absolute mental breakdowns on the job. BUT since then I hit the ground running and will never ever stop. I have aspirations to make it BIG in this business for no other reason then because I am highly competitive and driven and absolutely love what I do each and every day. What a gift! To survive in this business today you have to think fast, move fast, and be ready for change at all times. I am up for the challange ask anyone or just watch me work!! So far it has all exceded my WILDEST DREAMS!!
I have been married since May 2003. The wedding planning process is a big deal- I know! I take pride in lending a helping hand through the entire process.
